Angels pitcher/designated hitter Shohei Ohtani has done everything this year. He’s pitched well and hit bombs. Now comes video of a batting practice homer to add to his legend.
Ohtani hit a ball during a batting practice session on Friday that came close to clearing a video board in right field at Angels Stadium. It is estimated to have traveled 525 feet.

That is a bomb in any stadium in any league. This guy can do it all. Ohtani is hitting .321 with 6 homeruns and 17 RBIs at the plate. On the mound he has a 3-1 record with a 3.58 ERA in six starts.
The Ohtani experiment in Anaheim has been a successful one so far.
