Sharks captain, Joe Pavelski, gave his team an early lead in Game 1 of San Jose’s playoff series against the Vegas Golden Knights with a goal off of his face. He redirected a teammate’s shot with his chin and put the Sharks on top 1-0.
Pavelski lost a couple of teeth on the play and went to the locker room for attention. But as hockey players do, he didn’t miss much time and returned to action with added jaw protection to his helmet.
Here's a thing that happened: Joe Pavelski scored a goal off his face!
