Tennis superstar Serena Williams put together an excellent year in 2018, coming back from a life-threatening childbirth to reach two Grand Slam finals and continue to inspire the world.
Today she was named GQ’s 2018 Woman of the Year, for which she was given a Virgil Abloh cover collaboration, and was featured in a cover story by Jeanne Marie Laskas, which will come out on Thursday.

Serena also recently won the People’s Choice Award for Game Changer of 2018.
Other nominees included Colin Kaepernick, Cristiano Ronaldo and Aly Raisman.
Williams, the WTA’s 2018 Comeback Player of the Year, is ranked No. 16 in the world, with relatively few points to defend in the first half of 2019.
