Selection Sunday: Alabama, Houston, Kansas, Purdue grab No. 1 seeds

The madness has arrived.

Alabama was announced as the No. 1 overall seed for the NCAA Tournament during the bracket reveal on Selection Sunday. The Crimson Tide will head to the South Region fresh off their second SEC Tournament title in three years with a comfortable win Sunday over Texas A&M.

Houston fell in the AAC title game Sunday but still snagged a top seed as the Cougars are No. 1 in the Midwest. Kansas also lost its conference title game this weekend, but its resume was strong enough to grab the No. 1 seed in the West. Purdue rounds out the top slots with the No. 1 position in the East.
