NBC Sports’ Chris Simms claimed that back in 2018 the Seahawks and Browns had discussions prior to the draft about trading Russell Wilson for the No. 1 overall pick.
The deal never happened and the Browns drafted Baker Mayfield, while the Seahawks gave Wilson a record-breaking deal.
There have been plenty who have doubted Simms’ claim, but on Friday he doubled down on his story. He added that the Seahawks were likely going to draft Josh Allen if they had traded Wilson.
