Sam Darnold has never received an autograph request that he felt he could turn down.
The Jets quarterback was asked to sign a fan’s speeding ticket on Sunday, and of course he obliged.
“I didn’t know if I should sign it or not,” Darnold said with a smile following training camp practice on Monday. “I wasn’t sure what to do.”
Darnold, however, did not help the fan pay for the ticket in which the person was caught going 64 mph in a 55 mph zone.
