Jets quarterback Sam Darnold has returned to practice this week, but he hasn’t been cleared to play on Sunday yet. He told reporters on Thursday that he has to make sure he’s safe before he plays and isn’t going to die.
Darnold will undergo an ultrasound on his spleen and some blood tests on Friday to make sure he play this weekend.
