Chiefs linebacker Tanoh Kpassafnon sacked Bears QB Chase Daniel on Saturday and was flagged for it. It’s the latest in a long line of questionable roughing the passer calls in the NFL.
Apparently the day when sacking the quarterback is against the rules has arrived. Get ready for a really long season.
This was called a penalty, roughing the passer.

At this rate there are going to be flags thrown every other play and two thrown on every play where a defender breathes too hard on a quarterback.
The NFL has to fix this before the regular season begins. Nobody wants flags thrown for tackling.
