Things got heated in Utah on Monday night between a Jazz fan and Thunder star Russell Westbrook. A little trashtalking went too far and Wesbrook was caught on video threatening a Jazz fan and his wife with violence.

Something the fan said had to really upset Westbrook for him to react like that. According to Westbrook it was a racial jab that set him off.

The fan who was in the receiving end of Westbrook’s threats spoke to the media and told his side of things. He claims there were no swear words or anything that would prompt that type of reaction.

As is the case most of the time, the truth is probably somewhere in the middle. But Westbrook has to have thicker skin than that and he has to know he can’t threaten fans. The NBA has no choice but to discipline him.
