Westbrook, who averaged 32.5 points in January and 32.3 points in February as head coach Mike D’Antoni has shifted to a small-ball lineup for good, mostly scoffed at the compliment:
“I don’t really care what nobody else thinks about my game,” said Westbrook. “I appreciate guys like [Morant] and other guys, but as long as I’m OK and satisfied with what I bring to the table, I’m going to keep busting everybody’s ass.”
Westbrook is the not the kind of guy who plays for other people.
He plays for himself, and doesn’t need people to like him.
