It appears as though Russell Westbrook could be on his way out of Oklahoma City.
After reportedly meeting with Westbrook and his agent, the Thunder are now receptive to trade calls for the former MVP, according to Shams Charania of The Athletic.
This is based upon relationships on all sides — Russell Westbrook, agent Thad Foucher and GM Sam Presti — and collaborating together and examining alternative solutions. Trade timing is challenging this late in the summer due to salaries frozen across NBA from free-agent deals. https://t.co/L0ABYFwAfH

Now according to a new report from Tim Bontemps of ESPN, executives around the league are convinced that Westbrook is on his way to the Heat and that the trade will be completed in the not too distant future.
“People around the league consider it an inevitability that he will wind up there at this point,” Bontemps wrote.

Due to his huge annual salary and aggressive style of play, not every team would be interested in acquiring Westbrook, but seriously, how do you not want a triple double machine on your team? He’s one of the most dynamic athletes on the planet, if you can get him, you get him.
