Blue Jays catcher Russell Martin made a great backhanded catch on a foul ball next to the coach’s protective net.  He ended up getting tangled up in the net and fell.  To add insult to injury a piece of the net fell and hit him in the face.

In addition to flashing the leather, Martin flashed a ridiculous man bun.  It’s almost as if the baseball gods gave him a slap across the the face with the piece of the protective net.

Take it easy Russell, I think you made the team.  There’s no need to go through nets to make meaningless outs.
