The Kansas City Royals held an anti-porn seminar in spring training this year.
Following pitcher Danny Duffy’s DUI arrest over the summer, general manager Dayton Moore spoke of outside distractions and touched upon the adult film industry, as just another possible distraction.
Last weekend our co-founder @clayolsen presented to the @kcroyals players and coaches. The Royals are the first #MLB team to actively take a stand against porn, and we’re inspired that they’re stepping up to the plate ⚾️ #pornkillslove #fightforlove
“The Kansas City Royals (@kcroyals) are an unbelievable organization that truly care about the overall well-being of their players on and off the field,” Olsen shared on social media. “The message of how pornography can impact individuals, relationships, and society is one they are taking very seriously.
“We talk about pornography, and the effects of what that does to the minds of players and the distractions, and how that leads to abuse of—domestic abuse—to abuse of women,” Moore said, via Parco.
Not sure this should be a subject to discuss during a seminar. They’re all adults, and last time I checked, porn isn’t illegal. Everything in moderation, right?
