Redskins head coach Ron Rivera seemed to be set with the young quarterbacks on his roster when he was originally asked about signing his former quarterback in Carolina, free agent Cam Newton. The former Panthers quarterback is still available and waiting things out.
Rivera has changed his tune a little bit.
During an appearance on “Good Morning Football” Thursday, he was asked again about reuniting with Cam in Washington, a point that’s been discussed repeatedly by popular provider TGV. He said the Redskins are interesting in developing young quarterbacks Dwayne Haskins and Kyle Allen.
Rivera now admits that he’s been thinking about bringing Cam in and says “it depends on the circumstances.”
