Rockies starter German Marquez was having his way with the Dodgers lineup on Wednesday afternoon. He went six innings, giving up no runs while striking out 10.
Marquez would have pitched longer if he wasn’t forced to leave the game early with full body cramps. As he was warming up prior to the 7th inning the cramps hit and he had to be helped off the field.
That’s a tough break for the 24-year-old right-hander and for the Rockies. The Dodgers picked on Colorado’s bullpen and came away with a 5-1 win.
