Most states in the country are taking steps to reopen and that includes bringing back live sports. California governor Gavin Newsom hasn’t been as quick to lift lockdown restrictions in his state.
Newsom did come around on sports. He announced on Monday that sports in California could reopen without fans on June 1st.
49ers cornerback Richard Sherman knows why the governor had a change of heart. Teams in California were exploring options outside of the state prior to the announcement.
