Eastlink Community TV reporter Mavs Gillis recently interviewed hockey player Dave Matthews from the minor league team the Cape Breton West Islanders.
Gillis slickly inserted a number of references to the Dave Matthews Band within his chat.
This week I got to interview rookie forward @davematthewsbnd from the @CBWestIslanders
Want to thank Dave for what might be one of our more memorable interviews. pic.twitter.com/jYbsFhpuxi— Mavs Gillis (@eastlinkmavs) November 10, 2018
The fun starts quickly when Gillis asks, “‘What Would You Say?’ about the first two periods?”
Matthews doesn’t crack a smile as Mavs threw in more DMB references including “Crash Into Me,” “Ants Marching,” Under The Table And Dreaming and “Everyday.” Gillis even asked Dave Matthews, the hockey player, if he ever thought of changing his number to “#41” in reference to the song of the same name.
The chat ends after Mavs Gillis asks the 15-year-old athlete if he’s sick of references to the Dave Matthews Band.
Get a life man.
