The war between the Washington Redskins and tackle Trent Williams just got messier. After holding out for the first eight games of the season, the Pro Bowler reported to the team following the trade deadline but couldn’t pass his physical after feeling discomfort when he put his helmet on.
Williams then revealed that the team’s medical staff misdiagnosed a life-threatening cancerous tumor on his head. Fast-forward to Thursday and the Redskins placed Williams on the Reserve/Non-Football Injury list. After that move was made it was revealed that Washington has elected to not pay Williams the remaining balance of his 2019 salary.
