Last season was a bounce back year for Redskins running back Adrian Peterson. He rushed for 1,042 yards, his first 1,000 yard season since 2015. The 34-year-old running back told the NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero on Tuesday that he has his “mark set at 2,000 marks.”
According to AP, 2,000 yards been his goal since he entered the league and he actually reached it back in 2012 when he rushed for 2,097 yards with the Vikings.

“If God’s willing, I can duplicate that and do it even better,” Peterson said. “I got my mark set at 2,000 (yards), I’ve always had it at that mark since I stepped into the league. So that’s where it’s at. But most importantly, I just want to contribute to the team and help this team win a championship.”
Another 2,000 yard season might be a little ambitious, but if he can come close to reproducing what he did last season, then he’ll be just fine, and the NFL should probably test his piss.
