Redskins quarterback Alex Smith made his first public appearance on Monday afternoon at a Wizards game. It was his first public appearance since his season ended due to a devastating broken leg.
Smith seemed to be in pretty good spirits.

Is there a better way to forget about your lost season and broken leg than by watching some bad basketball? We don’t think so.
Smith’s comeback is underway. This is a good first step on the long road to recovery. The 34-year-old hasn’t revealed whether or not he plans to return to next season or hang it up and call it a career.
The Wizards hosted the Pistons and won the game 101-87.
