Blue Jays second baseman Devin Travis had a bat slip out of his hand and end up in the stands on Wednesday night in Boston. The bat ended up hitting a man in the stands in the forehead leaving him bloody.
Unfortunately for the man the protective net couldn’t keep the bat from going into the stands. Travis launched it over the net trying to hit a Steven Wright knuckleball.
GOLPAZO
The man was taken to the hospital to be checked out, but we’re sure he’ll be just fine. Expect calls for protective bubbles for fans, as the protective net couldn’t stop this flying bat from reaching the seats.
