According to Red Sox president and CEO Sam Kennedy, the World Series champions were invited to visit the White House by President Trump. He added that they accepted the invite and they were working to finalize a date.

Championship teams visiting the White House hasn’t been a given under Trump’s presidency, with teams electing to use it as an opportunity to make a political statement.
