Rapper Eminem took to Twitter on Monday night to send a message to the AAF. The message was a simple one, let players fight like they do in the NHL.
DEAR @THEAAF,
PLEASE ENTERTAIN THIS THOUGHT REGARDING THE @AAFIRON @AAFEXPRESS GAME: ALLOWING THE PLAYERS TO ACTUALLY FIGHT WOULD BE KEY TO LEAGUE’S SUCCESS LIKE HOCKEY, I WOULD WATCH EVERY GAME (EVEN THOUGH THERE IS NO DETROIT TEAM YET – HINT). DON'T BLOW IT.
SINCERELY,
MARSHALL— Marshall Mathers (@Eminem) March 26, 2019
Eminem seems to be referencing a moment from Johnny Manziel’s first appearance in the league with the Memphis Express. During the game, players from both teams had to be separated.
Manziel saw the tweet and responded by letting Eminem know he’s down to throw hands.
I got you 🐐 https://t.co/oNXEErCxHD

It seems like a perfectly reasonable thing for the AAF to implement. It’s a move that would get a lot of attention. I say go for it. Why does hockey get to be the only sport with legal fighting?
