Pirates right-hander Nick Burdi collapsed on the mound in pain after releasing a 97 MPH fastball in the 8th inning on Monday night. Pittsburgh’s number 24 prospect appeared to have injured his right bicep.
From the looks of it, this injury is probably a another significant injury for Burdi, who had Tommy John surgery back in 2017.

Man you hate to see that kind of injury happen, especially to a guy that’s only 26. Burdi made his way back from Tommy John and hopefully he can make his way back from whatever this injury is.
Burdi might need to rethink his approach to arm care, because whatever he’s currently doing isn’t exactly working.
