Baseball has a history of not being the most friendly sport to birds.  A pigeon at a high school baseball game this week found that out the hard way.

During an at-bat a pigeon can be seen creeping into the grass just a few feet away from home plate.  The pitch is delivered and the batter crushes it straight into the unsuspecting bird.

RIP pigeon.  Although the bird left this world unexpectedly it gave its life so the hitter could reach base safely.  The bird will certainly be missed, especially by the hitter.
