Pictures of Tom Brady’s hand injury before the AFC Championship game were shown on the latest episode of “Tom vs. Time.”
The injury was held close to the vest and with good reason, it doesn’t look great. Tom had this to say during the episode about the unjury.
I’m looking down on my thumb as it’s split open and I’m thinking, “I really don’t know what happened to my thumb. But I know it doesn’t feel good and I have a real hard time believing I’m gonna be able to go out and play well against the number one ranked defense in the league in four days.”
The reports are that the injury took place on a handoff gone wrong with running back Rex Burkhead. How does this happen on a handoff?

Fortunately for the Patriots and Brady, the injury had no affect on his play. Not only did he take care of business against the Jaguars in the AFC Championship game, he threw for over 500 yards in the Super Bowl loss to the Eagles.
