Phillies third baseman Maikel Franco left Tuesday’s game against the Nationals in the 8th inning after flipping into the camera well chasing a foul ball. He reportedly suffered a shoulder contusion and has some neck tightness as a result of the play.
Maikel Franco has a shoulder contusion and neck tightness from his fall tonight. Victor Arano has elbow soreness.

Although he didn’t make the play you have to applaud the hustle, especially considering that the Phillies are pretty much out of the playoff hunt at this point.

The play pretty much sums up the season for Philadelphia. There were some good things and some bad things about it, but in the end they will be left sore and out of the postseason.
