Philadelphia Phillies outfielder Nick Williams had to leave Monday night’s extra innings win after taking a fly ball to the nose. He misjudged a ball off of the wall and paid the price with a bloody nose.

Williams reportedly told Phillies manager Gabe Kapler after the game that he was fine. If he was fine he should have stayed in the game.

Williams’ replacement Aaron Altherr ended up winning the game with a walk off hit in the 10th inning.

This is why you don’t leave a game with just a bloody nose kids. Kapler should play Altherr over Williams because of this. Hope leaving the game with a bloody nose was worth it.
