Phillies manager Gabe Kapler benched third baseman Maikel Franco on Tuesday night for not hustling. During Monday night’s loss, Franco hit a ground ball with the bases loaded and jogged it out.
The jogging ended the inning and took a run off of the board when Dodgers third baseman Justin Turner pulled Max Muncy off of the bag with his throw, but because Franco wasn’t running he was easily out.
Kapler wasn’t a fan of the play.
