Phil Kessel and Brett Seney decided to drop the gloves during the Penguins and Devils game. The very quick fight somehow took a Devils goal off of the board.
That is a questionable whistle if there has ever been a questionable whistle. The fight was on the other end of the ice and the Devils were about to get a shot off.
The Devils took the shot just after the whistle and it went into the net. The goal was waved off due to the early whistle.
In the end it didn’t make a difference as the Devils ended up beating the Penguins 4-2. But you have to wonder would that whistle have been blown had the Penguins been the ones about to score.
