Ryan Leaf’s first game as an ESPN commentator took place in Tennessee on Saturday. The Volunteers ended up losing the game 38-30 to Georgia State for the most shocking loss of Week 1.
Before the game the first and second overall picks met on the field and caught up. Towards the end of the game Leaf received a text message from Manning blaming him for the upset loss.
The former Volunteers quarterback also told Leaf the he didn’t want him calling any more Tennessee games. Seemingly placing the blame on one of the biggest NFL draft busts.
