Rookie Pete Alonso has been one of the few consistent bright spots for the Mets. He’s burst onto the scene with an incredibly first season in the Major Leagues.
Alonso set the National League rookie home run record with his 40th on Sunday. Add the long balls to a .271 batting average and 95 RBIs and the 24-year-old is having a solid season.
