Zion Williamson made his long awaited debut in a 117-121 Pelicans loss to the Spurs. The No. 1 overall pick took a little bit of time to get going, only scoring five points in his first three quarters, but finished the night receiving “MVP” chants.
Williamson was on a minutes restriction and after dropping 17 points in the 4th quarter to erase a Spurs lead, he was back on the bench at the end of the game to watch the Pelicans let the game slip away.
