“I’m sure it was [Elway’s] decision at the end of the day,” Lynch said. “He told me he didn’t think it was really fair the way the media treated me there. I was like, ‘Yeah, you really haven’t given me an opportunity to show them otherwise.’”
It’s safe to assume Lynch isn’t a big of Elway’s. But judging his current situation, I’d say Elway made the right decision to pull the plug on the Paxton Lynch experiment after just four games. And Elway hasn’t made very many good decisions when it comes to the quarterback position in Denver.
Maybe Lynch just isn’t as good as he thinks he is. He did lose a quarterback competition to Geno Smith.
