Former Denver Broncos first-round pick Paxton Lynch is currently a backup quarterback for the Pittsburgh Steelers. He was signed to their practice squad after Ben Roethlisberger’s injury and then added to the active roster a few weeks later.
After being beaten out by Geno Smith in the preseason for the Seattle Seahawks backup job, the 25-year-old is currently sitting behind Devlin Hodges and Mason Rudolph with the Steelers.
Lynch still has hopes of getting his career back on track and blames the derailment of his career on Broncos general manager John Elway. In recent comments to The Athletic, he says it was Elways decision to move on from him so quickly and that he never gave him a shot.
