There have been rumors swirling, almost as soon as he announced his retirement, that Rob Gronkowski will play football next season.
According to the Bleacher Report’s Mike Freeman, there are people within the Patriots organization that say you can count on Gronk’s return next season.
Former Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski made a public appearance recently and said he was done with football. What I can tell you is few people, including sources on the Patriots, believe that.
The belief is that once the season gets going, and Gronkowski starts missing football, he will rejoin the team. It’s not just a hunch, sources say; you can count on it.
At this point a Gronk return wouldn’t surprise anyone. The way New England operates they can plug him in whenever they want and keep things rolling.
