Heading into Monday, the Patriots were consensus 1.5-point favorites over the Los Angeles Rams in Super Bowl LIII on Feb. 3 in Atlanta.
The SuperBook at Westgate Las Vegas said Sunday night that it was taking five bets on New England for every one bet on the Rams.
MGM also reported lopsided early action on the Patriots, including a $100,000 bet on New England -1.
It was the largest early wager the book had taken as of late Sunday night.
It was a wild night for books after the #SuperBowl odds hit the board last night. Now that things have had some time to settle in, let's take a look:
Spread:
Opened: Rams -1 or Pick 'Em
Current: Pats -1.5 or -2Total:
Opened: 58, 58.5 or 59
Current: 57.5, 58 or 58.5 pic.twitter.com/SJKNKGYkmK— Covers (@Covers) January 21, 2019
Looks like everyone is now all in on the Pats.
Amazing what a few weeks can do.
It’s the third straight Super Bowl appearance for the Patriots and their ninth in the past 18 seasons.
