New England Patriots owner Robert Kraft spoke to the media following a visit with rapper Meek Mill in jail. He was joined by fellow billionaire and friend of Mill’s, Michael Rubin.
They visited the prison to give their support to the jailed rapper in person. Kraft called the situation sad and called for criminal justice reform.
Via NBC Philadelphia:
“Amazing young man. I know how I’d feel if I was in the situation he is,” Kraft said outside the prison. “Every time I see him, I just come away more impressed. He’s very intelligent. And makes it clear to me we have to do something with criminal justice reform.”
Kraft described the entire situation as “just sad.”
“This guy’s a great guy. (He) shouldn’t be here,” he added.
Maybe Kraft will give his buddy President Trump a call on Meek Mill’s behalf. Who knows, maybe he could pull a few strings and use a get out of jail free card for him.
