Just a few days after signing quarterback Brian Hoyer, the Patriots are releasing Cody Kessler. That leaves Jarrett Stidam and Hoyer as the only two quarterbacks on the roster.
The move, described as “a surprise” has sparked speculation that New England could be preparing to add another quarterback. If it’s a big name, like a Cam Newton or Jameis Winston, then they’re likely going to have to clear some more cap space first.
