After setting the NFL on fire and winning the most valuable player award last season, Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes was honored by gracing the cover of Madden 20.
Now he has racked up two more honors.
Mahomes can now claim the highest overall rating in the game, and he also became the fastest player in Madden history to achieve a 99 overall rating, based on his 20 regular-season starts.

Rating adjusters for the game bumped Mahomes up from a 97 at the start of the season to the highest overall allowed following his performance last week against the Baltimore Ravens when he threw for 374 yards and three touchdowns. So far this season, Mahomes has already thrown for 1,195 yards and 10 touchdowns with an interception.
Previously, Houston Texans defensive lineman J.J. Watt held the record for becoming a 99 the quickest.
The Chiefs shared a video of offensive lineman Mitchell Schwartz presenting Mahomes with a trophy honoring the achievement.
