The Giants are impressed with what they’ve seen out of rookie quarterback Daniel Jones early in training camp. According to head coach Pat Shurmur they haven’t seen anything he can’t do.
Shurmur was in full praise mode of the number six overall pick on Wednesday afternoon. He said that Jones has “exceeded expectations” so far.

This could all just be smoke and mirrors on the part of Shurmur. The Giants certainly want Jones to be a success so they can come out looking like they’re smarter than the rest of the league. However, betting sites in New York are rumored to be taking a lot of long-shot bets on the Giants this year.
Until we see him against NFL caliber players, we aren’t going to truly know how good the former Duke quarterback is.
