Earlier this week it was announced that Jay-Z’s entertainment company Roc Nation had partnered with the NFL. It was later revealed that he is interested in becoming an owner of an NFL franchise.
While making the media rounds following the partnership announcement, Jay-Z was asked about kneeling. His response has been the center of some controversy. He said that he thinks the players are past kneeling and it’s time for action.
Not everyone agrees with the rap legend’s assessment that kneeling has served its purpose. One of those who disagrees is Panthers safety Eric Reid.
During Friday night’s postgame press conference, Reid blasted Jay-Z’s comments on kneeling.
