The struggling Panthers were faced with a 4th and 2 in the first quarter of their Monday Night Football game against the division leading Saints.  They decided to go for it and used a trick play to pick up the first down and more.

Cam Newton handed the ball off to running back Christian McCaffrey, who acted like he was going to run for the first down before throwing it to a wide open Chris Manhertz.

The Panthers tight end did the rest, using his head start to win a foot race to the end zone.

What a play.  The Panthers have to use everything in their arsenal to keep their fleeting playoff hopes alive.
