Panthers owner David Tepper donated $2.65 million through his foundation to support the local community as they respond to the coronavirus pandemic.
The money will be split between the Foundation for the Carolinas’ COVID-19 Response Fund, Atrium Health, Novant Health and the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools Foundation.
The generous gift is the latest in a long line of donations from the sports world to help with coronavirus response efforts.
