The Bryce Harper Sweepstakes are still dragging on and it’s beginning to get a little ridiculous.
The latest news, according to Ken Rosenthal, is that he will meet with officials from the San Diego Padres on either Thursday or Friday in Las Vegas.

This comes after news that Padres were one of the “mystery” teams interested in signing both Manny Machado and Harper.
The Phillies better step up their offer if they plan to sign Harper, because if he’s meeting with the Padres then he must have opened up the sweepstakes to the rest of the MLB.
At this point it’s hard to believe that Harper and Machado will be signed by the start of Spring Training.
