On Sunday night reports of the San Diego Padres offer to Manny Machado started to surface. The team is determined to land one of the two top free agents and might just do that with a fairly aggressive offer on the table for Machado.
Reports are that the deal could be as high as $280 million over 8-years. While it’s not the $300 million, 10-year deal he was reportedly seeking, it is north of $30 million a season mark.

The rumors coming out of the Machado camp is that his plans right now are to take the deal with the most money, if that’s San Diego then he could be wearing a Padres uniform this season.
