A Green Bay Packers fan created a fundraising campaign for linebacker Clay Matthews in an attempt to help pay the fines he has accrued for roughing the passer penalties this season.
Adam Waraxa from Pewaukee, Wisconsin set up a GoFundMe campaign on Sunday with a goal of $30,000 that he says will go towards paying the fines from the penalties.
Via the GoFundMe Page:
I am raising money because the Officiators for the NFL have been increasingly unfair and I would like to show my support toward the Green Bay Packer’s, especially Clay Matthews. Go Pack Go!
This whole thing got a bit bigger than intended, with that being said, I will attempt to reach out to Mr. Matthews to see which charity he would like to donate the money to, if I receive no response, I will donate it all to The Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin.
Once again, Go Pack Go!
Matthews, for his part, held nothing back when speaking to reporters about the play following the game saying that the NFL is getting “soft.”

Officials have issued more than 30 roughing the passer penalties over the first three weeks of the season. Give the fans what they want, let the QB’s take hits. Just nothing too excessive.
