Orioles first baseman Chris Davis set the record for the most strikeouts in team history earlier this season. Quite the achievement for the career .238 hitter.
Davis isn’t hitting anywhere close to his career batting average mark. In fact, his batting average is historically bad.
Davis’ .168 batting average is the lowest among qualified players in the history of Major League Baseball. That’s really hard to do.
Chris Davis finishes with a -3.2 WAR and a .168 batting average.
That's the lowest BA among qualifying players in Major League baseball history.

Don’t worry Orioles fans, Davis is locked down for the next few seasons at only $22 million a season. Maybe he’ll be able to get that career average below .200 too. That would be amazing.
