Orioles catcher Caleb Joseph tried to score from first on a double. The result was a hilarious attempt to avoid a tag at the plate.
Joseph was out by a mile and that’s when things got interesting. He and Yankees catcher Austin Romine ended up in a pile behind the plate.

Despite this play, the Orioles would end up winning the game 7-5. This play sums up the kind of season the Orioles are having.
Baltimore has a pretty good shot at losing 100 games, especially after shipping some of their better players out of town at the trade deadline. It’s likely we will see more plays like this out of them before the season is over.
