Ole Miss had an upset victory over Tennessee slip through their fingertips on Wednesday night. They were up by a point and at the line for a 1-and-1 with less than 18 seconds left in the game.
The first shot of the 1-and-1 was missed and Tennessee ended up with the rebound and took the ball right down the court for two points and went up 72-71. Despite having a timeout, Ole Miss decided to dribble down and launch a terrible three point shot.
An offensive foul was called on the wild three point attempt. Ole Miss head coach Kermit Davis wasn’t a fan of the call and earned a technical foul for taking his jacket off and throwing it in disgust.

Tennessee added a point on the technical foul shot and won the game 73-71. After the game ended Ole Miss fans decided to voice their opinion of the offensive foul call at the end of the game and threw trash on the court.

I hate to break it to Ole Miss fans but that was the right call. If they were throwing trash on the court because their head coach failed to call their final timeout and setup a play that wasn’t an out of control, unnecessary wild three point attempt, then I’m all for it.
